Artist: The Conspiracy Plan
Release: Can I Borrow a Feeling?
Release Date: September 2008
The Conspiracy Plan's Debut EP "Can I Borrow a Feeling?" showcases a proud hometown band that has found a unique sound not before seen in Australian Punk-Rock. With strong, yet soothing vocals backed up by fast guitars and a thumping back end. All about to be said, this is an album worth the purchase, and defiantly a CD that is car-worthy. The Conspiracy Plan Consists of Haworth on Guitar and Vocals, Benny J on Guitar and Backing Vocals, Kizzy on the Bass, as well as vocals, and Den on the drums. Individually, each of these guys are very good at getting the job done, together they are the Conspiracy Plan. The EP is a Running Story about Life on the South Coast - Growing up, Sticking around and all round survival through mateship. The opening track Teenage Summer starts us off by setting a fast pace to a song all about teenage pride during the high-school years. As the EP progresses you begin to get some more insight into the world that the Conspiracy Plan is writing about... their own. Not ones to take things too seriously, the EP design is quite cheeky. Taking the piss out of the stereotypical Homogonous rich yacht owning brat/Alternative Rocker that can be found within the areas of Kiama and Wollongong City, the band is quick to jump into the Punk-Rock abyss during the CD. So let this be a warning, If you judge a book (or in this case, a CD) by it’s cover, you will miss out on a very good recording.
