for the Last 4 weeks i've worked with half an arse to get this website done, then for a week or so after that i worked with a full arse effort to bring you all Australian Punk Alliance 2.0. This new site has been the culmination of efforts from punk all around australia, with ideas from guys all round our BBW of a land and forming under the new site. Some things have remained the same, as they were pretty good anywyas, and some things we are still having to struggle with
This new site covers everything that was built in with the old site, some things have been added in, some things have been taken away anme things are the same. Read on to find whatis new, what is old and what is broken.
Releases Section - Now bands can send the Australian Punk Alliance information regarding new releases, they will be featured in a seperate section. This section is made specificly to show off all new punk music coming through Australian instrument, voices and ears.
Flyers - The Australian Punk Alliance will also be showing you a host of Gig-Posters for all Allied Bands, giving you a completely updated section of upcoming gigs, whre to find the band, and who is playing with them!
Welcome Page - This splash page will give all users a fast hit of what is happening within punk in Australia and will show new bands to the Australian Punk Alliance.
Gig-Guide - There is a new section that is set out rather like a calendar to advise all people when bands are playing and where. It is a basic, first stop thing - so be sure to check out the bands' homepage for more informaiton.
Organisations - The brand new "allied Organisations" section is in, and will hopefully attact more organisations to jump on and spread the word about the Australian Punk Alliance.
Bands - The New Australian Punk Alliance has done away with some of the extra pages, making it easier for you to find band pages. Of course you can still search and find bands throught their genres (located on the top tool bar), but the new alliance has done away with finding bands through states, and genres as it was just too hard for people to find bands.
Registration - Registration is also under the one roof to save you all time whilst registering, so this is also great news!
Band MP3 players - Although these look the same, I've actually figured out how to make these work! By now you should all realise that i am not a programmer, so doing little things liek this make me feel all good inside.
Homepage - The homepage has been revamped to help promote the bands of the Australian Punk Alliance with greater success. Thats what it is all about. If people want to know the reasons behind the creation of the APA, just click here.
Framesets - This is getting into too much technical shit, but the frames to the APA gave us some resctrictions, mainly due to the way i implimented them (they were great foz, and the site needs some more!), but it made some things harder to do, so thats been fixed.
News - News is now easy to write up on, and is a free source. Please use it to say what you have to say!
Colour and Fonts - Yeah... enough said. Looks better in most cases.
Registration Forms - Like i said, i'm not a programmer. This is pretty easily seen with the forms on the registration page of the Australian Punk Alliance. I wanted to have attachment links, but i have no idea on getting these working. If you know how to do any of this shit, please email me at g@australianpunkalliance.com
